Are your original works available for purchase?
Yes. You can see available oil paintings on the available works page and then email me at matt@mattstory.com to receive additional specific information on any original oil painting that interests you.
Where can I see some of your paintings in person?
You can sign up for my newsletter (at the bottom of this page), sent out a few times per year, to stay abreast of new and upcoming exhibitions worldwide. In addition, some representing galleries are listed on the contact page. If you're planning a trip to New Orleans, call or email me to stop by for a studio visit!
Do you paint works on commission?
Yes, over a quarter of my original works are commissioned at the request of a collector. Feel free to contact me directly with any ideas and questions you may have about commissioning me to do an original oil painting, series or installations for you at matt@mattstory.com. My commission prices are consistent with my gallery pricing and typically range from $8,000 to $25,000 USD.
Do you ship your original paintings worldwide?
Yes, I commonly ship my paintings from the US to clients and collectors as far as Russia, the Middle East and Asia.
How much do your paintings cost?
The cost of one of my original oil paintings generally varies by size. A typical size for me is 40 x 60 inches (100 x 150 cm) and sells for about $18,000 USD before shipping and tax. I am willing to discount for first-time collectors, so feel free to contact me for specific pricing.

What is the difference between the Platinum, Linen and Papier Series?
The Platinum Series is limited to 12 reproductions on metal and is our most exclusive reproduction available. The Linen Series is a traditional edition of only 14 reproductions on traditional canvas. The Papier Series is a traditional print on archival paper available
in three sizes.
When will I receive my order?
Prints are typically shipped 5 to 7 days after you place your order. Framed prints are shipped from 1-2 weeks after the order is received. Shipping transit time in North America is typically 3 days. Transit time to Europe is typically 6 days.
Do you ship prints worldwide?
Unframed prints on paper are available for shipping to North and South America, Europe and Australia. For shipping outside of these areas please contact us directly at matt@mattstory.com for a custom quote.
Do you offer framing?
Yes, but only within North America. On the order page of each print you can select a black or white frame and have the framed print delivered to your door. Prints are professionally framed with select quality hardwood moulding in a matte white or black finish, with UV-blocking museum-quality acrylic “glass,” sealed paperback-finish and attached Certificate of Authenticity with hanging hardware included.
What is your return policy?
All sales are final. We have a non-returnable and non-refundable purchase policy. If you received the wrong print or your print was damaged in transit please contact help@mattstory.com.
Do I need to sign for my print when it’s delivered?
Yes and we’re responsible for it up to that point so please consider receiving your print at an address where an adult is available to sign for a Fedex or UPS delivery.
How do I know which print edition number I will receive?
You generally receive the lowest number in order of the series on-hand. If you’d like to request a particular number in the remaining series, please contact us immediately after placing your order at service@mattstory.com.
What are the dimensions of the border around the image?
Please see the information table on the order page of the specific print. But generally, the small and medium sizes will have a white border surrounding the image on all sides of at least 1.5” (4 cm), while the large size will have a minimum of 2.25” (6 cm). We say “minimum” size because that is the exact size to which the border is cut down for framing. For prints ordered without framing, the border sizes will often be larger, to offer additional protection during shipping. The print would then require trimming down to the listed cut sizes during the framing process.
Can you create a custom print of a painting?
We do not offer any custom printing. These series of prints are carefully developed by the artist from the original and are created only once, in a controlled limited edition. After an edition is sold out, it is thereafter forever unavailable from the artist.
How can I send a print to someone as a gift?
Either sent as a gift or sent to you, pricing info is not included anywhere in the packaging of the print. If you would like a special hand-written gift note written by the artist and included with your shipment, please contact us immediately after placing your order at service@mattstory.com.
How much is shipping?
Insured shipping within the continental US and Canada is already included in all prices. For shipping of rolled prints outside the United States, we charge a single flat fee of $75 USD per order.
